PortableApps is popular portable software solution.

it has many advantage
it allow you to easily customize installer,
it allow you easily install apps in cloud (Google Drive, Dropbox, ...) and use from there,
it can check for updates and notify you,
you can easily backup apps and their data, ...

they can also help you to make Cent truly portable
and help you with password encryption for Cent (portable) as you can't use user credential to encrypt password and data
CentBrowser already exists in Portable version, and if my memory is good, you can manually add apps in the PortableApps launcher, or am I wrong?

Personally, I'm always puzzled and reticent to use an installer for a portable application. It's a non-sense for me.
And the best launcher will always be slower than a pack of shortcut in an Explorer window, unless you use hundreds of portable apps.
Of course that's my own point of view.
You can manually add it PortableApps platform , but it's more convenient to have it in paf format.
When you use many portable apps you will glad for every automated solution. And you can use every advantages of PortableApps platform.
Also it's not about speed (as installed apps will usually be faster then portable apps), but it's about convenience as it offers additional options to use apps.

Thank you for explanation.
We will check it out.
Generally users don't use many softwares at the same time, so it is not essential for them to use a unified platform.

I think I'm not wrong but that all already works fine within the portable version of Cent. Use Cent on an USB-Stick on all of my systems and it works perfectly...

I can only agree to the comfort of having a fully-customized and ready-to-go environment that follows you almost anywhere...
