In chrome i am using this search line :

And two small suggestions.
1)Ability to block creation of new searches
2)Ability to easily manipulate google devices.

Do you mean the new tab page is not the same as Chrome?
If so, you can change the new tab page in "Basics"->"Tab options"->"Use custom new tab page", and select "chrome-search://local-ntp/local-ntp.html".
