CentBrowser Forum

Full Version: Feature Request: Improve security features in CentBrowser (ESNI, TLS 1.3 etc)

Please see Cloudflare's browser security test page here: https://www.cloudflare.com/ssl/encrypted-sni/

Firefox now supports Encrypted SNI (ESNI) and DNS over TLS and passes all four test on the above page. CentBrowser does not pass three of the four security tests on the above page. At least the version I'm using - 3.4.3.39 - doesn't. I'm forced to use that version still until the disabled-DirectWrite bugs in the more recent versions are fixed.

Please incorporate security features into Cent such as ESNI, DNS over TLS, TLS 1.3 support etc to improve the browser's security and protect browsing privacy.

Cheers
Dhry
These are the basic, internal features in the browser core - Chromium.
You can submit a feature request on Chromium bugtracker https://crbug.com.

TLS1.3 is already implemented.
It was enabled in Chrome 71 by default, but CB is based on C70.
You can force-enable it at your own discretion via chrome://flags/#tls13-variant

ESNI feature request is already submitted at https://crbug.com/908132

Secure DNS and DNSSEC is something you can handle in the OS, as far as I know, so all programs will benefit. I'm using SimpleDNSCrypt in Windows for that.
Thanks to wOxxOm's answer.
I think these are good features.

This was very helpful info - thank you!
I'm also interested in having CentBrowser support encrypted-sni.
What is the progress status on this? @CentBrowser
