Full Version: "Save As" still prompts on files set to open with default application

When the Save as is selected as default downloader, it still displays the dialogue box on file types already set to open with the Windows program via Downloads list > right-click on the downloaded file > Always open files of this type.  The Built-in downloader doesn't have this problem.

Weird that we can't reproduce this issue in version 3.8.5.69
Have you tried running the browser with safemode.bat?
safemode.bat works, which means something else is causing the problem.
Edit: I should mention the file does automatically open with default application after saving it to the computer.

May be some extension's fault.
Unfortunately it's not that simple. The problem remains after I disabled all extensions and restarted Cent. However, resetting settings to default fixed it too, so this implies there's some setting(s) that's involved. Unless Internet Download Manager somehow mucked it up, but I don't use it as Cent's default downloader...

Edit: Nope. I just tested it with IDM extension removed and disabled IDM's Chrome integration and problem remains.
Ultimately I reset the settings to default to fix this problem. The only downside is the pain of losing my cookies and having to log back into websites and re-setting their settings. I screenshot every single page and setting and even the chrome://flags settings to manually change Cent settings to my preference. I wasn't able to identify the root cause or spot any diferences when comparing to the old settings.

Sorry to hear that.
This may be an obscure bug or conflict with some software.
Also possible profile corruption.
