It's sad the devs can't summon up even a few words to tell everyone what's going on and instead just leaving countless people hanging on in the hope there'll be an update.

At least Kinza had the right idea and was forthcoming that it was the end for the browser and the reasons why. They even released the source code patch in case someone wants to carry on with it.

Anything would be better than this utter silence...
Perhaps the entire dev team split up and they all walked away!
Maybe they're fighting over legal hassles!
Perhaps there's been a death in the family!

But still, you'd think someone could take a couple minutes to 'pipe up'!

that's somehow refreshing, they are still around.
another user said they will update 2 times per year, so let's hope they release something before 2022

in the meantime, I'm playing with different alternatives, and I confess Catsxp is the so far the closest alternative to Cent (still missing many features). and I like Vivaldi too but just because the 2-row group tab management
QUESTION: has anybody every used xBrowserSync? Supposed to be able to sync data between browsers and I see there's a chrome extension version. Even if not able to sync cent specific settings, at least you'd be able to sync your data for newer versions of Cent that will have Google Sync disabled and then all you would need is to set up Cent specific settings?

There's their official website --> https://www.xbrowsersync.org.

It synchronizes in real time, but it encounters errors and automatically restores previous bookmarks but without showing its favicons. Does not work well with google bookmarks sync and it crashes with bookmarks without a title.
My favorite extension for this job is floccus bookmarks sync
CatsXP looks great, only if they had DirectWrite off.

With extensions 'Chrome Font Rendering Enhancer' & ' Nice Font Rendering' added, the ability to turn DirectWrite off is becoming less important to me.

I tried these extensions ages ago, when Chrome first turned off the ability to disable directwrite, and IMO they're not that good.
