What's wrong with [spacebar] key - sx1sajor - 08-25-2018

Specifically on YouTube , the spacebar no longer scroll down, the video takes over the shortcuts, even when I click away of it, also I noticed that with other web sites  Huh

Not quite understand, isn't it used to toggle play/pause state of the video?

Usually depends on whether or not the video has focus, meaning it's the last element clicked. Youtube, however, appears to have recently changed their JS to override regular shortcuts in favor of always applying them to videos, focused or not. It isn't the browser's fault though.

When Google/Youtube unilaterally decide what standards they want to ignore or redefine, it typically doesn't take long for other sites to do the same. Most users probably prefer it, because if we know one thing, it's that Google has plenty of analytics for all decisions like this. You could always make a userscript to override their override.

OK, thanks for the info.
Generally, the website itself always has priority to handle shortcuts.

On YT it's frustrating when I'm trying to reach the comments by pressing spacebar instead it pauses the video, I click on the page away of the html5 video holder, still the same shit happens, I hope Cent add in the future an option to override keyboards shortcuts.

This may require special handling for youtube.com
You can use PageDown key or mouse gesture currently.
