The browser freezes and has to be force closed.

Changing the bookmark display from "columns" to the one long dropdown (which is really terrible for a person with a plethora of bookmarks like me) doesn't change anything.

I use the current version of Cent on Windows 11 Professional, the only changes made are the updates Windows does often in the background, according to the update list the last stuff Windows put on there was on 16th.

Since then I immediately also had this " we need to to verify you are a real person" whenever I want to search something with Google. This is also strange. But I can live with that, only I would like to be able to use my bookmarks again. What could be the problem?


Edit: the problem seems not to be caused by an extension, as I have created another virgin profile with no extensions and no changes in the originals settzinge, imported the booknarks there, and the same, as soon as I start scrolling, the browser freezes.]]>

isn't growing uncontrollably. I add folder component_crx_cache to CCleaner.
Please, add the folder to Disk Cleanup in browser, is it possible.

I've identified several (possible) causes:

1. Blob storage isn't garbage collected:

When checking chrome://blob-internals/, I found many blobs listed there, some with very large lengths (see attached image below). With the increasing memory footprint of the "Browser" task, more blobs are being created here.

Because it's incognito mode, the "Delete browsing data" feature is completely useless. Even when opening a regular tab and checking chrome://blob-internals/, I see many other blobs there, even though I'm not browsing with a regular tab.

2. Affected by other Chromium-based browsers:

After opening CentBrowser, every time I open other Chromium-based browsers or Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) Client Applications, the memory footprint of the "Browser" task increases rapidly, by about 30,000K each time if the current "Browser" task's memory footprint is below 200,000K, and gradually decreases if it's already above 200,000K. It seems there's a cross-memory leak here?!]]>
