F5 seems to be working normally for me on my computer. Wondering if you are having specific page(s) that don't response to the F5 or your computer has an issue with the use of that button?

Please ensure that you have not disabled shortcut keys in chrome://settings/cbShortcuts
And you may try disabling all extensions.
