Setting up search engines

In the latest version (v2.5.4.39 from 03/28/2017) the following bug is noticed:
All search engine settings have been erased. 
When you add a search engine to the group "Use by default" in the settings, it is not saved there and in the context menu is not displayed

Yes it is. But in this case, too many search engines appear in the context menu, which are added automatically. This is equivalent to staying completely without a contextual search.

Thank you, jack. I used this and other similar extensions, but in them when searching on sites that use the windows-1251 encoding, queries in Cyrillic (I'm from Russia) are not processed correctly. Search through the built-in context menu work correctly. This is the phenomenon.

You can remove unnecessary search engines, and add command line "--cb-disable-auto-detect-search-provider" to prevent the browser from collecting search engines automatically.

Or roll back to v2.4.2.19. However, for some reason the browser is updated automatically with the automatically update check-box turned off.
P.S.: I wonder why in Chrome made such a deformation?

They are pushing pure HTTPS and some web standard.
