Going open source
#5
Short story:
OpenSource = death for CentBrowser.
Competitors will steal your code for sure.
No one will help you to build your browser, NO ONE, it's super big software.

Long story:
I have created the forum account just to replay to the topic.
I'm an experienced software developer with 8 years experience of leading and managing very big and very powerful projects which at first were source closed and then moved to the open source. All of these projects dead, all their features stolen by competitors which has much more money for advertising and hiring employees than our team. Our work is wasted and stolen, and we can't proof or protect our code, because stolen ideas and their realization, not stolen 1 in 1 code, just rewritten it a little bit with different names of functions and different workaround around common things, and voila - new code. Our code was GPL protected.

Also, moving to open source, will split the community over dozens of forks and virus made software which will position itself like centbrowser on steroids and so on.

Strongly against moving to open-source direction, it will kill centbrowser.
And yes, you do not violate any part of the license, so please, GTFO
