Look for a problem in your system, the browser is not to blame.

my system saves files or Cent browser?! why then Firefox doesn't "blame my system" and saves images normally?

You are right.
Those images are webp format not jpeg format.(So the explorer can't preview)
The website may name them mistakenly.

then why Firefox saves them normally? maybe there is some "agent" magic? like site recognizes browser as "chrome" and gives .webp for saving, but if it's not chrome, then it gives .jpg.

Option "Use temporary directory (2 on screen) not working. Save&open items saved to the download dir (1 on screen) and dont deleted after use.

This is related to autoopen file types (3 on screen).

Photo
It says "Use temporary directory for" Save & Open "items"  and when you click on the "Save & Open" button, the file is saved to a temporary folder. And it work fine for me.

The option works for "Save&Open" button, not for "Save" button.
And the browser can't delete it for you, because the browser doesn't know when you don't need it any more.

Here the images saved by Firefox also can't be previewed in Window Explorer.
The same as in chrome and cent.
You may need to install this codec for preview:
