Eye protection mode is bugged.
#1
While feature itself is pretty useful, it's kinda "too aggressive", so i consider it bugged.
1. It changes background for All sites, even those that already have custom/dark color = i'd expect it to handle only sites that have background set as default/white color.
2. It's so aggressive, that even changes Cent's own colors, like say background of Incognito New Tab(which is dark) or Download button's popup menu. Maybe more, that's just what i noticed.

It was designed to be an aggressive modification of the background color.

Hmm, then its name should at least depict exactly that(smth like "Change sites background color" or "Set custom color for sites background"), instead of misleading "eye protection" that implies quite a different purpose.

This setting name is indeed misleading; in previous versions, it was originally called "Use custom background color for web pages".

Someday, someone's gonna finally utilize the built-in dark mode for web pages to its full potential. It's pretty damn good the majority of the time

When it's not pretty damn good though, it's pretty damn awful, just like any of the dark mode extensions. Sometimes it breaks websites to the point that it's unusable. That's why extensions all have whitelist/blacklist includes/excludes.

I'm gonna celebrate when some unsung hero adds that capability to the built-in dark mode. How cool would that be? Doesn't even need to be anything fancy, just functional.
