well i expect an address bar work like an input box based on url queries as it was initially supposed to in opposite to search box with according purpose
so taking in consideration the fact we already have a search box in our simple and elegant speed dial we should have an option to exclude this complicated behavior from address bar and let it make standard queries as

if there is no ending slash (assuming domain/) maybe the best idea is to perform local history search or text search on current active page or even do nothing (brilliant idea ) emitting an according error to the user
