Older version(s) download?
#1
I searched the forum and came upon this thread:

https://www.centbrowser.com/forum/showth...Windows+xp

I have 2 XP machines and wanted to try Cent Browser but seems they are not available for download.

I specifically want the most recent portable version for XP:

http://static.centbrowser.com/installer_...rtable.exe

Newest versions from that same directory download with no issues.

Any mirrors or other locations to download legacy Cent Browser releases?

http://static.centbrowser.com/installer_...rtable.exe
should be OK to download from.
If you can't download it there, we can upload it to our Google Drive.
Or you may try

First thank you very much for the rapid reply.

I tried downloading from that same link with no success when I first posted.  The download would appear to start but would eventually timeout and abort.

I tried again later in the day after I read your reply and this time the gods of the internet smiled upon me.  It took a few minutes to start downloading after clicking the link but it did finally download.  It took 1 hour 11 minutes to download 60.4MB with an average speed of 14KB/s.  Don't know why it took so long to download that particular file.

Conversely, when I download the latest version from your homepage from this link,

http://static.centbrowser.com/installer_...rtable.exe

The download starts immediately taking 31 seconds to download 76.1MB with an average speed of 2542KB/s. My guess is the archived versions have a speed limit set.

Anyway I'm glad you do have older versions available for download even at the slower speed for us with PCs running XP.  I downloaded Cent because it supposedly is the only truly portable chromium browser.
I will install the portable and check where it writes it data and compare it with other chromium browsers on my XP machine.

This link wouldn't download at all, just timed out.

This is because old installers are not cached by CDN server.
You may download them here:

You can download old versions off of filehorse here too. (32 bit version and 64 bit version, the oldest they have hosted there that I can see is the version 2.2.9.39):

32 bit: https://www.filehorse.com/download-cent-...-versions/
64 bit: https://www.filehorse.com/download-cent-...-versions/

Thanks guys for the Google Drive/Filehorse mirrors. Most people will of course download the latest version but occasionally those with older OSes will have need of legacy versions.
