Problems with the boomarks bar on 4.1.7.182 portable
#1
Up until the beta version (same as on Chrome always so far), even when you have the bookmarks bar as "always hide", it still shows on the new tab (permanently). Since the last final version of Cent, it doesn't show on new tabs.

And I've never liked any of the other options. I don't want the bar to always show. The "hide automatically" option is very annoying cause it shows whenever the cursor goes near the url bar or under it. But...I want the bookmarks bar on the new tab!

This is on the portable version, 32 bits (on both windows 7 and 10). Later I'll try the 64 bits version (I can use both on the Windows 10 computer, which I'm not on at the moment) and see if the same happens.

Oh and of course I kept my user folder, so no configuration changed.

Bookmark bar to always show when you open new tabs but no bookmark bar otherwise?

Yep, that's how it was (still is on Chrome, so it's not something that was changed there) and how I want it!

So, it's apparently only once I replace the user folder with mine that the bar disappear from new tabs. This never happened with any other version before.

Nope. I was mistaken. Even on a new download, without adding my user folder to it, the bookmarks bar disappears from the new tab too if it's set to "always hide".

Thanks for your feedback.
We will look into this and decide whether or not to change back.

Thank you! It still shows on the new tab on the latest Chrome, so I don't think there's a reason to keep it out of it on Cent.
