download button bug?

For example, when I turned off the download button and started downloading something, or started download, the download would automatically appear. Now it doesn't appear anymore. You have to automatically turn on "Show download button" to see what you're downloading. Now if I turn off "Show download button" and download something, it doesn't automatically download, what could be wrong?

"the download would automatically appear." is a function of Chrome download bubble, but we use our own download bubble which doesn't have such behavior.

will you re-add it again? it was nice to have this now i have to automatically enable "show download button" and and if I want to turn it off I have to go back to settings and turn it off

or at least to be able to choose which download bubble you want, old or new, and whether it would appear at some point after the download started and disappear when the download was finished, or whether the bubble would remain after the download was finished.
